"Over four evenings in September several nationally and internationally renowned light artists will light up the islands of Smögen and Hållö, creating a magical atmosphere where you, the visitor, will find yourself immersed at the center of an amazing experience. The unique rock formations, the famous pier and the narrow streets of Smögen, as well as the skies and the sea will form the backdrop for interactive light art, light installations and light projections of monumental proportions. To be experienced from the sea as well as from land, Island of Light, “in the middle of nowhere”, where the barren nature and pink granite rocks with still clear vestiges from the Ice Ages, meets the most modern technologies in the form of Light Art."
